Jackson Mississippi, The state capital, Is the only location in the US that has held 4 International art exhibitions within a 10 year period, where each one lasted at least 6 months, starting with The Palaces of Saint Petersburg, Russia, In the mid 1990s. Some of those priceless art objects had been in storage during the entire Soviet era and had not been visible to anyone. Each 6 month long event drew several 100000, flying in from all over the world.
